I will probably use this a lot for my daily makeup on workdays. This color is perfect to use as base for neutral/natural eye makeup. It's more creamy and doesn't dry quickly.Ī close up of Bad to the Bronze. Unlike Painted Purple, I didn't have any problem with blending. I've also started using it all over my lids for a single colour smokey eye look. It's good as a crease color that I usually pair with Forever Pink from L'Oreal. I would say it's a deep maroon color with hints of purple and brown. I fell in love with it when I swatched it at Sasa. This is my favorite color out of the three. I also sometimes use this as a liner which again is a challenge to do because of consistency issues.Ī close up of Pomegranate Punk. Probably because I seldom use a color this bold. I'm using it today and I've gotten a number of compliments on my eye makeup. It's definitely a bold color that you can wear all over the lids only if you want to be noticed. You can see from the swatch below that it's a bit harder to apply and blend than the other two that I have. Not because I love the color but because I have a feeling it might dry up soon. This is probably the color that I don't use that much but I should. It's more blue in this photo but in person it's a true purple color. So I pack that in my makeup bag in case I need touch ups throughout the day (which I don't by the way).Ī close up of Painted Purple. You definitely cannot lug all of your shadows around though for me it's not a problem as I only use one color at a time.
Are mac paint pots good fir oily lids mac#
I imagine it's similar to MAC and Chanel based on the photos I've seen online. It's glass with a black plastic cap that does an ok job of keeping the product from drying. I got Bad to the Bronze, Pomegranate Punk and Painted Purple. I would have bought four but I got a shadow freebie from MAC (post for tomorrow!) that's similar in color. Unlike the L'Oreal Color Infallible eyeshadows, I went a little crazy and bought three colors. I may have squealed a little when I saw it in Sasa. This is again one of my finds from Hong Kong last month.

So I made a mental note to look for this product abroad if I had the chance. My former housemate aoitenshigot a pot and she swears by this stuff. This is also waaaay more affordable than the high end paint pots (ahem MAC, Chanel) so you can buy (aka hoard) more colors. In our climate, so-so eyeshadows will easily crease or fade more so if you have oily lids like I do. Maybe if we collectively bug Maybelline Philippines about it, they'll give in? I was excited to try it because I've never had a cream-based eyeshadow before and this one promises to stay put for 24 hours. Of course, they were never released here in the Philippines. One of the 2012 makeup releases that I was really excited about was the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR cream eyeshadows.
